On 3-5 April 2017 in Gothenburg (Sweden), the fourth ALLIANCE (INTERREG BSR) Partner Meeting took place. The project brings together blue biotechnology actors from across the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) to develop innovative marine biotechnology based products and services. The event was hosted by one of the ALLIANCE project partners – the University of Gothenburg.

ALLIANCE 2nd Call for ideas

The Baltic Blue Biotechnology Alliance (ALLIANCE) is still looking for  promising cases in the field of blue biotechnology in need of dedicated expert support for product and service development. Case partners will explore  new ideas with the potential to develop sustainable and innovative products from marine biological resources that are relevant to and for the benefit of the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).

The third ALLIANCE (INTERREG BSR) Partner Meeting took place on 25–27 October 2016 in Helsinki. The project brings together blue biotechnology actors from across the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) to develop innovative marine biotechnology based products and services. The event was hosted by one of the ALLIANCE project partners - the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).

The University of Gdańsk was represented by prof. Katarzyna Palińska and dr Ilona Złoch (Faculty of Oceanography and Geography) as well as by dr Anna Kaczorowska (Faculty of Biology).
