Didactic Initiatives Fund (FID) for the 2026/2027 academic year
Dear Academia,
We would like to inform you about the launch of the next edition of the call for proposals under the Didactic Initiatives Fund (FID). Academic teachers employed at the University of Gdańsk, as well as doctoral students, may apply for funding to implement projects supporting the development of didactics.
Detailed information regarding the application process can be found in the FID Regulations, which are attached to Ordinance No. 22/R/21 of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk dated February 12, 2021. Additionally, relevant details and the application template are available on the website:

This year’s call for proposals includes funding for regular projects in accordance with the FID Regulations. Additionally, applicants may apply for funding from a dedicated pool of resources for commissioned projects.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, commissioned projects should focus on the following areas:
- AI as a tool to support academic education and professional work.
- Development of educational infrastructure to support innovative student learning methods.
- Involvement of representatives from the socio-economic sector in teaching activities as a means of improving the quality of education.
Deadline and place for submission of applications: until June 1, 2026 (since May 31, 2026 will fall on a Sunday)
The application can be submitted online via the Forms tool.

Please note!
One of the required documents is a formal opinion on the utility of the initiative. This must be issued by the Dean of the Faculty or the Director of the university-wide unit where the Applicant is employed, or by the Head/Director of the Doctoral School where the Applicant is enrolled. Please allow sufficient time for this opinion to be prepared.
