PhD student position within the project

Highly Efficient Enrichment, Single-cell Analysis, and Drug Screening of Circulating Tumor Cells for Personalized Medicine
carried out at the

Laboratory of Translational Oncology
at the
Medical University of Gdansk

 


Requirements:

  1. Master degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical or similar
  2. Interest in biology of cancer and translational oncology
  3. Good English language skills (written and oral) as required for scientific environment
  4. Experience in basic molecular biology techniques, immunofluorescence, eukaryotic cell culture
  5. Motivation, creativity, ability to work independently and in a team within collaborative projects
  6. Desired is knowledge from the field of oncology, experimental oncology, molecular diagnostics, biomedical statistics and experience with working with clinical material

Required documents:

  1. CV (in English) with the list of achievements, publications and technical skills relevant for the project
  2. Document confirming the scientific degree
  3. Documents confirming qualifications and achievements (publications, certificates, awards, research stays etc.)
  4. Cover letter (in English) documenting motivation of the candidate
  5. Contact details of 1-2 individuals willing to provide references for the candidate
  6. Declaration of the will to participate in the Doctoral School  starting from the summer semester 2020 (separate recrutation process applies)

 

Contract length – 36 months work contract.

6. You have the access to the content of your data, the right to demand rectification them, the right to remove or limit of their use, the right to transfer them, the right to post an objection in relation to their processing and the right to withdraw legal consent at any time,
7. You have the right to make a complaint to the Office for Personal Data Protection, if it is justified that your personal data are processed by the administrator in breach of the general regulation of personal data of 27 April 2016,
8. Providing personal data is voluntary, however, the refusal to provide them may result in the refusal to provide the service.
9. Under the rules laid down in the provisions of the GDPR, you have the following rights:
  - the right to access the content of your data,
  - the right to rectify them when they are inconsistent with the real state,
  - the right to remove them, limit processing and transfer data - in cases provided for by law,
  - the right to object to the processing of data,
  - the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory body - the president of the Office for Personal Data Protection, when you think that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions on the protection of personal data,
  
- the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing, which was made on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
