Job Offer - PhD student to FNP First TEAM Grant

Contest for two (2) PhD student positions in the Structural Biology Group 

at the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdansk and Medical University of Gdansk

funded by FNP First TEAM Grant, 

Targeting mitochondrial DNA repair for novel anti-cancer therapies

The ideal candidate should:

1.       Hold a master degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology or related fields

2.       Have the qualification for being enrolled in a Polish PhD program

3.       Have a strong expertise in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, cell biology and structural biology. Experience in working with DNA and RNA will be an asset. 

4.       Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English 

5.       Good presentation skills (ideally having presented his/her work on a national/international conference)

6.       Show a good level of independence, self-motivation and reliability

7.       Enjoy working in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment

Conditions of employment:

Duration of contract: 36 months

Scholarship amount: 4500 PLN / month

The deadline for submitting documents: 1 February 2018

Starting date: March 1, 2018

Selected candidates will be individually invited to an interview, conducted in English, during which they will present their academic achievements.
