dr hab. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak laureate of the FNP Collaborative grant

Dr hab. Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak received further funding from the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) to develop collaboration with another FNP grant recipient. The PLN 1 mln grant will allow interdisciplinary research into innovative cancer therapies conducted together with prof. Jonathan Heddle from the Małopolska Centre  of Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University.

Dr Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak has been leading the research team at the UG-GUMed Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology since October 2017. It implements projects on human immunology, financed by Foundation for Polish Science and National Science Centre. The research group is interested in intercellular communication, antigenic presentation and induction of immune tolerance. Recently, Danuta Gutowska-Owsiak received funding in the amount of over PLN 900,000, which was awarded as part of an internal competition for winners implementing the FIRST Team grant from FNP.
