Professor Igor Konieczny and his team were awarded for the best publications of Polish Academy of Sciences

We are pleased to inform you that the article "Plasmid replication initiator interactions with origin 13-mers and polymerase subunits contribute to strand -specific replisome assembly" published by Professor Igor Konieczny and his team: Aleksandra Wawrzycka, Marta Gross and Anna Wasążnik, in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America in 2015 (doi: 10.1073/pnas.1504926112), by the decision of the Committee of Molecular Cell Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was recognized as the best Polish microbiological work published in 2015 in the prof. K. Bassalik competition.

*Professor Kazimierz Bassalik Prize and Committee Microbiology Award are granted for the best work done in the country by Polish scientists in the preceding year.
